Today we are reviewing Premier Research Labs ThyroVen, an all-natural vegan supplement that offers premier detoxification and thyroid support. With astounding statistics such as the fact that 12% of the US population will develop a thyroid illness at some point during their lifetime, it is even more concerning for women who are more likely to be plagued with thyroid problems. Designed using premier nutrients and naturally occurring iodine, ThyroVen helps to maintain healthy thyroid functions.
What’s in ThyroVen?
The primary ingredients are as follows:
- Iodine – 182 mcg
- Proprietary Blend – 436 mg
- Organic Kelp (whole) (Ascophyllum Nodosum)
- Organic Irish Moss (whole) (Chondrus Crispus)
- Bear Garlic (leaf) (Allium Ursinum)
- Motherwort (herb) (Leonurus spp.)
- Organic Bladderwrack (Frond) (Fucus Vesiculosus)
- Organic Chlorella (whole; broken cell wall) (Chlorella Sorokiniana)
- Organic Fennel (seed) (Foeniculum Vulgare)
- Organic Turkey Tails (whole) (Coriolus Versicolor)
- Oregano (leaf)
- Organic Turmeric (Rhizome) (Curcuma Longa)
- Organic Parsley (leaf) (Petroselinum Crispum)
The secondary Ingredient is Vegetable Cellulose Caps.
The ingredient list has no added stearates and is both vegetarian and vegan-friendly. But the ingredient list is missing Selenium, Magnesium, Vitamin B-12, and L-Tyrosine which are great in providing optimal thyroid support. Unfortunately, the Proprietary Blend’s amount of the other ingredients are not listed which leaves consumers unsure as to the exact composition of the supplement.
Moreover, the same product label for ThyroVen lists two different amounts of Iodine; the manufacturer’s website lists 1 capsule having 182 mcg; third party websites shows the label listing 140 mcg or 138 mcg of naturally occurring Iodine in each capsule. So the fact that the iodine amounts has changed so many times is cause for concern. In any case, if you multiply whichever amount of iodine listed on the labels by 3, the total amount of Iodine ingested per day is way too high. The RDA recommends that the daily allowance of the dietary iodine in adult men and women is 150 mcg per day. Though iodine helps enormously in producing key thyroid hormones to assist in balancing metabolism, too much iodine is dangerous.
How Do You Use ThyroVen?
The product label states to take 1 capsule three times a day. If you are pregnant or nursing, you should consult your healthcare professional first before using.
We researched the cost of purchasing ThyroVen on both the manufacturer’s website and third-party sites. The manufacturer sells a 60-ct capsule bottle sells for $19.95 plus shipping; third party websites sell the product for $20.60. Each bottle of ThyroVen will last 20 days so this is a fairly high price point for this product.
Is There a Guarantee?
The manufacturer offers a guarantee for first-time customers only. Customers may receive full credit on one opened bottle per product for up to two different product within 30 days. Full credit will be given for unopened bottles only.
The Conclusion of Our Premier Research Labs ThyroVen Review
ThyroVen is designed to support the functioning of your thyroid gland, and this product is all-natural and has GMP certification. Unfortunately, with user reviews full of complaints about adverse reactions to this product including a variety of stomach issues, we are concerned that this product contains alarming amounts of iodine. With other products on the market with excellent reviews and more attractive satisfaction guarantees, we cannot give this product our stamp of approval.
