            Cons

This is a review of NeoStrata HQ Skin Lightening Gel. The manufacturer claims that this product gently exfoliates the skin, allowing for a more brighter complexion with reduced pigmentation. This product claims to leave skin smoother and lighter, however, is the best solution for your skin? This review will examine the product formula and customer support to determine this answer.

What’s in NeoStrata HQ Skin Lightening Gel?

Hydroquinone is known to lighten discoloration, with a 2% concentration to support the visible appearance of dark spots and freckles. Kojic acid is also a popular skin lightening agent that is said to reduce the appearance of scars and sun damage on the skin, leaving it more youthful looking. Licorice Extract brightens skin and has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties that soothe and protect the skin. While these ingredients may be beneficial, the lack of patented ingredients included in this formula is a concern. Patented ingredients ensure efficacy as they have been tested and clinically proven to deliver efficient results. Alternative products have up to 5 patented ingredients, including Alpaflor Gigawhite (which brightens and evens skin tone while reduces the color intensity of age spots), REGU-FADE (which visibly brightens skin within 2 weeks of use – as opposed to the product’s claimed efficacy with 12 weeks of use), and PhytoCellTec Alp Rose (which protects skin from external and aging damages). There is no explicit mention of this product is cGMP certified or cruelty-free. This is a concern.

How Do You Use NeoStrata HQ Skin Lightening Gel?

There are relatively clear instructions for the use of this product, which are positive to note. Users should apply a thin layer of the gel directly on the affected area twice daily. Sun exposure should be limited and the use of sunblock is recommended. However, we are uncertain how much gel to use per application of if skin should be recently cleansed or not.

            The Cost

NeoStrata HQ Skin Lightening Gel can be bought from many third-party retailers online. A 1 oz. (30ml) tube retails for $57.00 – which is expensive when compared to the market standard. The lack of patented ingredients may make this product price unjustified. There are some sites that offer a 15% discount when purchased through a subscription, however, these are usually difficult to cancel and may not be worth the hassle. Otherwise, there are no bulk offers available to promote the sustained use of this product. Since use is suggested for 12 weeks, this is likely to become costly.

            Is There a Guarantee?

As the NeoStrata website was down during the time of writing this review, we were only able to reference a third-party website, which offers a 30-day period in which products can be refunded for store credit. Furthermore, there are a few customer reviews that complained that this product did not deliver any visible results and made no impact on lightening skin.

The Conclusion of Our NeoStrata HQ Skin Lightening Gel Review

NeoStrata HQ Skin Lightening Gel appears to be a good product at first glance. The ingredients have been known to deliver some benefits to lighter and brighter skin and seem to be accurately dosed. However, the lack of patented ingredients a concern and may imply that this product is less effective than alternatives that are available on the market. The price is expensive and may not be justified and as the manufacturer’s website was down at the time of writing this review, we cannot comment on the extent of the customer service provided by the manufacturer. Whatsmore, there have been some negative customer reviews that complained that this product was ineffective. For these reasons, we do not recommend this product and suggest searching for more supported alternatives on the market.
