            Cons

NatureCare AF Natural Anti-Fungal Cream by Rowell Laboratories is a natural anti-fungal cream that is designed to treating treating athlete’s foot, ringworm, tinea cruris, or ringworm of the groin, (‘jock’s itch’), nail fungus, and fungal-based dermatitis. This manufacturer claims that the product works within days, by assisting your body’s own defenses to kill the fungal pathogens.

What’s in Rowell Laboratories NatureCare AF Natural Anti-Fungal Cream?

The active ingredient is zinc sulfate (homeopathic). Zinc sulfate is a bactericide and fungicide, which works by killing and limiting the growth of fungus. Although there may be minor side effects of burning and irritation, the product is safe to use.

            The inactive ingredients are:

            • Purified water
            • Aloe vera
            • Shea oil
            • Vegetable emulsifying wax
            • Sunflower oil
            • Grapeseed oil
            • Vegetable glycerin
            • Distilled green vitriol
            • Vitamin E

The combined ingredients aid the body with its own defenses, fighting off infections, and assisting the skin to heal. The formula is free from gluten, wheat, and soy. It does not contain synthetic ingredients, synthetic preservatives, fragrances or dyes, that could irritate the skin. The cream is an all natural and homeopathic product, but it lacks the commonly used chemicals (for example terbinafine hydrochloride) often found in other products therefore possibly making this cream less effective at combating fungus problems.

How Do You Use Rowell Laboratories NatureCare AF Natural Anti-Fungal Cream?

Wash the affected areas and dry thoroughly. Once dried, apply the cream1-3 times a day, or as needed. For ringworm or athlete’s foot infection the treatment can take 4 weeks to work. For crotch itch (‘jock itch’) it can take 2 weeks, and up to 9 months for a nail fungus to be treated. Warnings: For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes or other sensitive areas. Do not use on children under 2 years of age. Do not use as a diaper cream.

            The Cost

You cannot purchase the cream directly from the manufacturer’s website, but we found it on Amazon by following a link where it costs $11.79 per tube. Amazon says that it does not qualify for 2 day shipping so if you need it urgently, best to buy from your local pharmacy or elsewhere.

            Is There a Guarantee?

We did not find any specific details regarding a refund policy on the manufacturer’s website, but since anyway you can’t buy direct from them, it’s not so relevant. Amazon does give you 30 day refund if you purchase from them.

Our Final Review of Rowell Laboratories NatureCare AF Natural Anti-Fungal Cream

We were pleased that NatureCare Antifungal Cream is 100% natural, made only with all organic or non-GMO oils, butters, and aloe, and naturally preserved, containing no petroleum, no synthetic ingredients or synthetic preservatives, no phathlates, no parabens, no fragrance or dyes, and no wheat, gluten, or soy. We liked that the cream is manufactured in the USA to the highest FDA cGMP standards and under guidelines set forth in the Homeopathic Pharmacopoeia of the United States, and under the highest quality standards of manufacturing. In terms of negative comments, we have the following thoughts. Because the product is all natural and homeopathic, it lacks the commonly used chemicals (for example terbinafine hydrochloride) often found in other products therefore possibly making this cream less effective at combating fungus problems. Secondly, it was a shame that the company does not offer its own version of a guarantee and refund policy but relies on Amazon’s instead. This does not show us that they have confidence in their own product’s effectiveness. We read some of the reviews and found that for many people the cream was not as helpful as other products that they ended up using. The manufacturer said that it can take up to 9 months to treat athlete’s foot with this cream which seems like a very long time. Perhaps other products would do the job more quickly?
