            Pros

            Cons

Today we are going to review Nature Made CoQ10 (400mg). Nature Made has formulated this CoQ10 product to help support heart function and cellular energy production. CoQ10 is a fat-soluble compound that plays a crucial role in cellular energy production and generates energy in mitochondria and is therefore an important nutrient for heart function.

            What’s in NatureMade CoQ10?

The active ingredient that has been used in this product is Coenzyme Q10 at a dose of 400mg per day. The product does not contain any artificial flavors, starch, gluten or preservatives. The daily dose of 400mg of CoQ10 is possibly too high. In our research we found that anything over 250mg per day of CoQ10 may actually do more harm than good. Missing from the product list is the key ingredient Bioperine. Bioperine is considered a very useful ingredient because it has been shown in clinical research to increase the absorption of nutrients in nutritional supplement formulations.

            Inactive ingredients:
Soybean Oil, Gelatin, Glycerin, Water, and Soy Lecithin.

How Do You Use NatureMade CoQ10?

Take 1 soft gel daily with a meal and swallow with a large glass of water before and during ingestion. Do not exceed the recommended dosage. Consult with a doctor before using especially if you are pregnant, nursing, or already taking a medication.

            The Cost

The supplement is not available for purchase on the company’s website but we found it on Amazon where you can purchase a 40 count bottle of softgels for $30.25 with the possibility of free shipping. The manufacturer does not provide any incentives for first time customers or bulk buyers.

            Is There a Guarantee?

If you are not happy with your purchase, you can send it back and get a refund. we were unable to find any information about the period of the guarantee. The terms and conditions of the guarantee have not been stated.

The Conclusion of Our NatureMade CoQ10 Review

In our product review there were pluses and minuses about this product. We liked that the product does not contain any artificial flavors, starch, gluten or preservatives. We liked that there is a 100% money back guarantee but this is also a negative, see below.  We also like that Nature Made products are independently tested with USP, a third party organization that tests for quality and purity. Among the drawbacks to this product are that it missing the key ingredient Bioperine. Bioperine is considered a very useful ingredient because it has been shown in clinical research to increase absorption. Without it, the body might find it harder to absorb the beneficial effects of the CoQ10. The daily dose of 400mg might sound like a good thing but in our research we found that anything over 250mg per day of CoQ10 may actually do more harm than good, we would therefore shy away from users taking such a high dose as this. The bottle we reviewed is sold containing only 40 soft gels and it does not come with a discount. The manufacturer does not provide any incentives for first time customers or bulk buyers. Although the website states that there is 100% money back guarantee, the manufacturer has not stipulated the period that the guarantee is valid for nor added any details or instructions. Many reviews showed dissatisfaction with with the product seeing now significant benefit to either cardiovascular functioning. Some reported unpleasant side effects like nausea after using the product. Others reported that they had an allergic reaction to it. Some said that at 400mg per dose, the supplement was unpleasantly large to swallow.
